Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
August 12th, 2008
One of the upsides of forced unemployment is being able to indulge in a spot of daytime cinema
So earlier today, I went “up west” (as we say round our way) with a mate to spend two glorious hours watching Gurinder Chadha’s new film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
Chadha is a genuis. Every film she directs is pure (British) class.
If you haven’t yet seen A,T & PS, then get thee to a cine IMMEDIATELY!
We don’t have that many brilliant British directors so when one produces a film like this I think it’s every Brit’s duty to support them.
PS: If you go and see A, T & PS in or near Leicester Square you’ll also have the added bonus of being able to walk through Trafalgar Square on your way home. The big screen currently showing the Olympics is “wicked” as my 12 year old niece and nephew would say. That, the film and cake afterwards (come on, you already knew that every trip I make out involves cake
) made me – again – feel blessed to be a Londoner
