Supporting Leyton E10!

The E10 Local Directory

Many residents living in Leyton, Grove Green and Forest wards, may recognise the photo of the front cover of the latest ‘Leyton E10 Local Directory’ edited by local resident Clare McCaughren.

The E10 Local Directory was launched back in the autumn. It is choc full of information about local community events and notices, and it is also extremely handy for finding out about the services offered by many of Leyton’s smaller businesses – who as many of you will know, I am keen to support.

Last week, I popped over to meet Clare and to find out more about the directory.

Clare (pictured above) informed me that she designs and writes the entire booklet, delivers all 5000 copies herself, and that she goes door to door – on foot – when trying to persuade Leyton businesses to advertise in the directory.

I think the E10 Local Directory is brilliant. I would encourage more local residents and businesses to support it by advertising your meetings and products in the booklet.

Just seeing all the activities and events advertised in the E10 Directory makes me feel even prouder to live in Leyton.

Feisty local entrepreneurs like Clare, who are helping Leyton to develop and strengthen as a community, through initiatives like the E10 directory, have my full support!
