It most certainly wasn’t. Neil is a fab, well regarded local Labour MP. I definitely didn’t think he would be going this time around….

Dear Alex, sorry for the delay in responding, have been away from a computer all weekend and just got back home. Thanks for your kind comments but I’m not interested in standing – although I’m flattered you think I would have been considering it!!! There are loads of fab strong local candidates from the constituency itself – it’s going to be quite a contest. I will keep you up to date with all the latest selection shennanigans as they occur!!!!
