Justice for the Windrush Generations 2

It was good to be invited back to the House of Commons, on Wednesday 17th May 2023, to again represent the Windrush Justice Clinic and speak on the panel of the Justice for the Windrush Generations bimonthly rally.

What is great about JfWG rallies is the cross-party support they attract. Wednesday’s event was attended by Marsha de Cordova MP and Richard Burgon MP for Labour and Duwayne Brooks for the Conservatives.

A big thank you again to Garrick Prayogg and Roland Houslin for the invitation to return.

“Mitbestimmung” – talking to Times Radio Breakfast about the new wave of rail strikes

I was back on Times Radio Breakfast, on Friday 12th May 2023, to discuss the industrial relations implications of the new wave of rail strikes.

I was chuffed to have had the opportunity to say one of my all-time favourite German words – “Mitbestimmung” (“Co-determination”) – live on national radio.

Speaking to Times Radio about the continuing industrial unrest in the UK

It was good to be back on Times Radio, on Friday 28th April 2023, to discuss the continuing wave of industrial disputes dominating the UK, as well as to give my take on the significance of the 27th April 2023 High Court judgment, which curtailed the end date of the forthcoming strike by members of the Royal College of Nurses.

Windrush Justice at the 2023 Law Centres Network AGM

It was fantastic to have my good friend Patrick Vernon, the social commentator and Windrush campaigner, address the Law Centres Network Annual General Meeting on the topic of Windrush Justice and Racial Justice more broadly.

Am really pleased that Law Centres are continuing to play a central role in the global struggle for race equity and justice.

It was great to join Times Radio on Friday 14th April 2023, to discuss the possible role for the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) in helping to resolve the Junior Doctors Strike.

I used to worked for Acas as a Senior Policy Advisor.
